Installation and Commissioning

Installation and commissioning should be in accordance with the manufacturers
Installers Manual and current CORGI and IEE regulations.
In order that installation and commissioning is carried out correctly you should use a suitably qualified and registered CORGI fitter. Your local Lacanche stockist can advise. The appropriate installation guidance for your cooker will be sent with the order acknowledgement.

Building-in Guidance

When the appliance is being built in to a run of units, a gap of 40mm must be allowed on both sides, except for Rully. However an infill strip can be used to conceal the gap. The units must not butt up to the sides of the cooker.

Secondly, the units and infill strip should not be built proud of the oven doors,
but should be flush with the main body of the oven. They can be flush if they are of a material that can withstand temperatures of 200° Centigrade plus. Where the infill strips are painted or of wood that cannot tolerate this temperature they should be set back 25mm from the front of the main body of the oven. For side opening cupboard or simmer oven doors to open wide enough to insert or remove shelves etc, the above dimensions must be adhered to.
The stainless steel hob of the appliance should not be lower than adjoining
worktops. These worktops can butt up to the hob.

If a plinth is required to make the cooker up to the work top height, the depth
of the plinth is less than that of the depth of the cooker. Where a plinth is to be used, this should comply with current CORGI regulations. You are advised to check the relevant installers manual or seek guidance from a local registered CORGI qualified engineer.

If the cooker is mounted against the back wall then the depth of the plinth from
back to front should be 590mm.

Wall units that are placed to the left and right of the cooker must allow an extra
distance of a minimum of 100mm away from the hob on both sides. All cookers over 1m wide are designed to be mounted against a wall and are not intended as free standing island cookers.

Any combustible materials must be a minimum of 850mm from the top of the
cooker. Please note it is advisable to have a wipe clean surface on the wall above the cooker.

Door widths of property should be a minimum of 735mm to allow for access of
your range. Please advise us if there are any obstructions or hindrances,
eg steps to basement, narrow passages.

The above guidance is not exhaustive and we recommend that you check the
relevant Installers Manual.
